How it works

Where prices come from

Prices come from sellers' own product feeds where they exist, and otherwise from an openly identified crawler, BestCapsulesBot, which respects robots.txt, visits politely, and offers any site owner a same-day opt-out (see about our crawler). Prices refresh daily. Every week we re-check a random sample of live prices by hand against the sellers' pages; once that accuracy rate is consistently above 97% we will publish it here.

Sellers who price in euros or dollars are converted to pounds at the European Central Bank's daily reference rate, and the original price is shown alongside. A price we cannot verify is frozen and reviewed rather than guessed.

How sellers are ranked

By price, lowest first. Commission, affiliate relationships and sponsorship never change the order. Sellers we have no commercial relationship with appear identically to those we do.

How we make money

Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking, the seller may pay us a commission at no cost to you. Which links pay us has no effect on ranking, and we compare sellers who pay us nothing at all.

Health claims

Ingredient pages reproduce claims from the Great Britain nutrition and health claims register verbatim, split into authorised and non-authorised. We write no claims of our own, and product names are written factually with claim words removed. Authorised claims carry conditions of use we deliberately do not reproduce; qualifying a product against them is the seller's and brand's responsibility. Nothing on this site is medical advice; food supplements are not a substitute for a varied diet.

Regulated and novel ingredients

Some ingredients sold as supplements elsewhere are regulated differently in the UK. Licensed medicines are excluded from these listings until we build their own properly gated section. CBD and NMN are "novel foods" in Great Britain, where authorisation is still working through the Food Standards Agency; we list capsules containing them like any other product, make no claims about them, and link only to the seller. Check the FSA's guidance if you want the regulatory detail.

Mistakes

If a price or product looks wrong, tell us at hello@bestcapsules.co.uk and we will check it the same day. The seller's site is always the authority on the final price.
