Joints. Joints carry the largest set of refused claims in the register: glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, turmeric and collagen-for-joints wording were all assessed and turned down. What is authorised is narrow and quoted exactly on the ingredient pages: vitamin C for normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage, and manganese for normal formation of connective tissue. Skin, hair and nails. The register authorises specific wording for several nutrients relating to normal skin, hair or nails, and this page collects them with the wording quoted exactly. Marketing in this category runs far ahead of the register; the split below shows exactly where the line sits.
